English & Academic Course Studies

The free English Component is very popular attracting students.   In this component, we also try to equip children with basic English and computer skills.   Just like the other components we have volunteers with a variety of teaching styles and professions coming from different cultures with different passions to share academically in our bilingual format.  This exposes the students of this remote rural community to a variety of life interests and opportunities.  Check out the videos and photos below to see examples.  One example is a unique opportunity we had two years ago when a semi-professional kickboxer with a master’s degree in nutrition made a 10-week commitment with Amazon Volunteering.   The end result was the development of a basic nutrition class for the English Component and basic kickboxing skills for the Sports Component.  Be sure and check out the related videos and photos below.
