". . . is about what we do. "
Simply put, we are an internationally diverse group of adults of all ages sharing the common goal of improving the lives of those less fortunate at the Blue Lagoon near Tarapoto, Peru. This is achieved by offering the lower socio-economic-status children of this community educational benefits they would otherwise not have in this remote area of the Amazon Jungle.
Not only are the young participants in our program equipped with many skills enabling them to be more effective and proactive adults in a changing modern world, but they are guided to the resources and gain the confidence and knowledge that they can go anywhere and do anything with hard work and dedication.
Missions and Objectives
1. To continue offering our program free of cost to the lower socio-economic status children within the communities we serve.
2. To maintain a non-discriminative equal opportunity intercultural experience during all engagements and in all the diverse environments in which we interact; among students, volunteers, and the local community.
3. Through all 6 Program Components assist students acquisition of the English language and equip them with life skills enabling them to be more effective and proactive adults in a changing world.
4. To in-power our young participants with the resources and knowledge they need to realize they can do anything and go anywhere in this world with confidence, hard work, and dedication.
5. To in-power volunteers to become more effective mentors and teachers applying the experiences and knowledge gained from our program within all the communities they serve.
