Amazon Volunteer has access to a 100-plus acres Eco-Farm Recreo at Villa Rica. This is one of several locations we run other components of the program as well. If you choose to volunteer with us you will have the opportunity to work with and learn about 100s of native trees, The variety of plants ranges from industrial uses to exotic fruits, medicinal trees, and plants such as Sangre de Grado, Panidishu, Uno de Gato and Guanabana as well as our completely organically grown vegetable garden with a variety of rare and common vegetables. Or you may elect to work with animals ranging from fish ponds to chickens to horses. All of these options are also part of our student’s education program.
We also have homestay options at the eco-farm recreo with a swimming pool and sports complex and extensive hiking trails with rivers and small waterfalls right on this property!
