Visiting Lamas for one day or staying one night after a busy day in Tarapoto is a great little weekend getaway. It is only 30 minutes from Tarapoto and is a charming old town with a nice cool climate with panoramic views and restored village of artisans below. The food is excellent and nice hotels for affordable rates.
