There are many local attractions and activities to keep volunteers busy for several months without leaving Sauce. Many volunteers prefer this, not only because it can make your program fee virtually all-inclusive, but also because they enjoy becoming immersed in the people and culture of this remote agricultural community. Volunteers often choose a homestay package and say it is like going back in time to a simpler way of life, with families who often commute by horseback and cook with wood gathered from the nearby farm.
